The Nexus of Values and Interests

It seems there is a big gap between US military strategic thinking and strategic geopolitical thinking in DC. One is advocating a more liberal-realist perspective, based on the nexus of values and interests, while the other is working with a constructivist approach applying the motto "Anarchy is what states make of it."
